I'm Not Afraid Anymore – An Important Discussion Inspired by Naomi Watts' Book and the Conversation Women Need

Wydarzenia
Naomi Watts

The conversation, moderated by Renata Kim, featured three remarkable experts:

  • Alicja Długołęcka – sex educator and psychotherapist,

  • Dr Katarzyna Skórzewska – gynecologist and endocrinologist,

  • Anna Samsel – psychologist and menopause expert.

The discussion was inspired by Naomi Watts’ book, which – as the participants emphasized – could mark a real breakthrough. This is not a medical handbook. It’s a manifesto of strength, courage, and solidarity among women who are no longer afraid or ashamed. Watts shares not only facts, but also deeply personal stories, aiming to demystify a topic that remains largely taboo.

“I'm Not Afraid Anymore!” is a book written for women entering the perimenopausal stage – but not only for them. It’s also a valuable resource for those who want to prepare in advance and understand what is truly happening to their bodies and emotions.

According to the “Menopause Without Taboos” report by the Kulczyk Foundation, a staggering 93% of Polish women are unable to correctly define menopause, and over 70% admit that their knowledge about it is poor. Women often feel lost, don’t understand their symptoms, and frequently don’t receive clear or helpful answers from healthcare providers.

The event built around the book made it clear just how great the need for open conversation and education truly is.
The experts not only shared knowledge, but also answered questions, offered personal insights, and helped break the stigma — with empathy, humor, and attentiveness.

You can purchase the book with a 40% discount using the code Menopauza at the Znak publishing website.
