The school was built thanks to the initiative of the local non-governmental organization (NGO), Students Helping Honduras. The old school building was in a disastrous condition, and the school faced closure.
Students would not have anywhere to continue their studies, which could have dramatic consequences. Due to the presence of gangs that young people often join, the school is a place where they can simply spend valuable time. Thanks to the activities of Students Helping Honduras, the activity of parents who worked on the construction site as volunteers, as well as the support of Kulczyk Foundation, it was possible to create a place that gives young people a chance for a better future. Currently, 270 children study under the guidance of eight teachers.
