Isolated. “Back then, we could live. Now, people are dying...”

“We stood in lines, there was no milk or bread, but there was no one dropping bombs on us. Back then, we could live. Now, people are dying...” says Izaida from Makiivka, who has not been paid for her work in months. There could be as many as 4.5 million citizens in a similar situation in Ukraine – elderly people in need of immediate help. We decided, together with Rotary International (RI) and Kulczyk Foundation, to give the elderly from the Donetsk Oblast food packages purchased thanks to the kind hearts of Poles.
