The library in Witaszyce is the first of ten!

Events

150 libraries took part in the ‘CSR - dziesięć na dziesięć (CSR – ten out of ten)’ program initiated by PEKAES SA together with Kulczyk Foundation and Zaczytani.org.

First place went to the Public Library of the City and Commune of Jarocin, Witaszyce branch.

The beautifully renovated institution was officially opened on 14 September 2015. There was a lot of joy, admiration, cake, and books given as gifts, but the most important thing present was the pride of the representatives of the local community, as it was their votes that led their library to victory and the complete transformation of its space, making it cozy, colorful, and spacious, with a new children’s corner.

The library in Witaszyce is always full of life. This is the most popular meeting place for the inhabitants of this big village in the Jarocin community. It hosts discussion club meetings and library classes. The opening of the renovated library was attended by local authorities and representatives of the City of Jarocin, local business owners, and the firefighters from next door.
The ‘PEKAES POMAGA’ campaign aims to provide local communities with aid to gain common access to books and magazines. It was important to bring together the local community and this was definitely the case in Witaszyce. Everyone lent a hand to create the new and beautiful interior for the locals.
We want to thank ‘PEKAES POMAGA’ and Zaczytani.org for the wonderful project and congratulate and thank the library in Witaszyce (and the other finalists) for taking part in the contest.
