For the 26th time we awarded Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarships to Adam Mickiewicz University Students!

Among the scholarship recipients, once again, were citizens of Poland and Ukraine.
Dr. Jan Kulczyk scholarships for students and doctoral students have been awarded since 1999 by the Kulczyk Foundation in cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the UAM Foundation. This cooperation is an excellent example of cooperation between business, a scientific unit and a university in supporting the development of young, outstanding students and doctoral students.
– Adam Mickiewicz University is a special place for our family. My father was a graduate of this university. He always instilled in us that education means freedom, because it opens up new possibilities – says Dominika Kulczyk. – Adam Mickiewicz University is also my alma mater. I chose a beautiful, although difficult, major – sinology. For me, as a humanities major, it was a huge challenge, because even though these are philological studies, the learning was no less demanding than in the exact sciences – recalls the president of the Kulczyk Foundation. – For over two decades, my family has had the honor of participating in a project whose heroes are young people who love to learn, who give themselves a chance for development and freedom through education – she adds.
Scholarships are awarded every year to students and doctoral students who stand out with very good academic results, outstanding scientific achievements and activity for the University and its Community. Since 2014, scholarships have also been awarded to Ukrainian students of UAM, who, in addition to high grades, can boast outstanding scientific achievements, involvement in university life, social and cultural activities, or knowledge of several foreign languages.
The profiles of the scholarship competition winners were presented during a ceremony held on January 20, 2025 with the participation of the Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, the President of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation, Prof. Hieronim Maciejewski, and Dr. Aleksander Broda representing the Kulczyk Foundation. The presentation was made by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Prof. Joanna Wójcik, after which the scholarship holders received their diplomas, not hiding their joy at the distinction of being among the winners.
The Jury of the Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarship Competition, after considering the submitted applications, selected four winners from among doctoral students and four from among students.
In addition, the Jury of the Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarship Competition for UAM students – citizens of Ukraine, after considering the submitted applications, selected 10 winners from among students of uniform first-cycle and second-cycle master's studies.
We present the names of the winners and... wholeheartedly congratulate them!
