The results of Kulczyk Foundation’s grant competition – 2017/1 edition

We are happy to announce the winners of the Kulczyk Foundation’s grant competition – 2017/1 edition:

The Association of Supporting the Disabled “RES SACRA MISER” (20,000 PLN)
(for organizing and ensuring the proper equipment of a workplace for five wards of the Association)

The Association of Autistics’ Families and Friends “MAŁY KSIĄŻĘ” (25,000 PLN)
(for creating rehabilitation and recreation places for those suffering from autism, where the beneficiaries will be provided with an opportunity to self-fulfil as well as to develop a proper behavior as a result of social skills trainings)

“DR CLOWN” Foundation (20,000 PLN)
(for creating the DR CLOWN’s manufactory – tailoring workshops as well as fully-equipped tailoring workplaces, where unique, decorative pillows will be produced. The pillows will be handed to ill children in hospitals by “doctors-clowns”.

“MAM SERCE” Foundation (25,000 PLN)
(for purchasing a new mobile incubator for an ambulance, which will provide new-born children with a safe and complete healthcare when being transported to a hospital)

“EKOSKOP” Association (10,000 PLN)
(for purchasing teaching aids, which will enlarge the number of activities to offer by Podkarpackie Centrum Edukacji Ekologicznej in Rzeszów, and will help to increase ecological awareness among teenagers and adults)

The aforementioned projects have been selected by a Committee consisting of: Marta Schmude-Olczak, Aleksander Broda, Grzegorz Stanisławski.

Taboo-free talks at the Malta Festival

There are conversations we put off until later. While they're very important, we simply find it difficult to start them. We lack the words, the courage, the right moment, or sometimes simply the knowledge. This year, the Kulczyk Foundation is hosting "Taboo-free talks" at the Malta Festival, encouraging people to strengthen relationships at various stages of life.

It’s not a private problem. It's a systemic gap – Polish foundation speaks about menopause in the European Parliament

On March 24, the European Parliament held its first-ever hearing on menopause. A representative of the Kulczyk Foundation highlighted the topic of menopause as a significant social and economic challenge. The Foundation emphasized the need to break taboos and introduce systemic solutions to support women during the perimenopausal period.

White Paper on Menopause: Diagnosis and Recommendations 2025

The Kulczyk Foundation has published the first White Paper on Menopause in Poland and one of the few in the world. Menopause affects 100% of women, yet it remains a taboo subject. The document is open to everyone and available in English. It could easily be scaled to other countries in Europe and around the world. The premiere took place at the Polish Ministry of Health.
