Malaysia – The Domino Effect

They are called the fish-people because of their extraordinary diving skills and the fact that they hardly ever leave the sea. But the life of the Badjao people, who reside along the coasts of Borneo and nearby islands of the Philippines, has been changing in a dramatic and irreversible way. Dominika Kulczyk and the crew of TVN will present the story of the 12-member family of Mahlinan and Sofina that lives traditionally on a boat.

International projects

You will see the life in shanty towns that more and more ‘sea nomads’ are moving to when they are unable to sustain their maritime lifestyle. Also in the episode, people involved in helping the Badjao community will be featured, as will be those in dire need of help, i.e. street children whose parents are not able to sustain them and look after them. One million PLN to support women. The 2nd Edition of the Grant Programme has been launched

The Polish-Ukrainian Sisterhood, which include, among others Henryka Bochniarz, Iryna Deszczyca, Agnieszka Holland, Dominika Kulczyk, Olga Tokarczuk and Oksana Zabużko are launching the 2nd Edition of the "Hi Girls!" Grant Programme. The women's coalition will decide who will receive the next million zlotys to help women and children from Ukraine.
