Kulczyk Foundation Award goes to the creators of ‘Strange Heaven’

‘Strange Heaven’ – a shocking movie about a fight for a child and the terror of the state towards a human being, who is forced by the state to live under heartless rules. On Saturday, Dominika Kulczyk presented the movie’s creators with a check for PLN 300,000 as part of Kulczyk Foundation Award for the Polish Feature Films Contest at the 9th Netia OFF CAMERA festival in Kraków. “You are the ambassadors of freedom,” the benefactor declared.

Dominika Kulczyk: Why we should invest in Polish cinema

For the first time this year, first prize in the Polish Feature Films Contest at the 9th Netia OFF CAMERA festival in Kraków will be known as Kulczyk Foundation Award. I am very honored to be the head of this social organization. Most Polish films touch upon difficult social issues and I see them from the perspective of a social investment. And this is what our Foundation does: it uses the assistance provided to build social change.

This is a special boy!

Instead of playing video games for hours, middle school student Aleksy Kielak teaches seniors how to use computers to make their lives easier. He created the course on his own and teaches it for free. In the afternoons, you can find him at the public library in Warsaw’s Rembertów, where he does volunteer work. He also often helps out classmates with their homework.
