The Kulczyk Foundation's Żółty Talerz (Yellow Plate) program is a unique alliance of aid organizations for solving the problem of malnutrition among the youngest Poles. More than 5%, i.e. approximately 400,000 children in Poland live in extreme poverty, which means that they are not provided with proper nutrition. The Kulczyk Foundation and its partners assist an average of 10,000 children per year.
Since 2016, the programme has covered a total of more than 85,000 children from nearly 2,500 institutions, and its implementation has cost a total of PLN 38 million. The Foundation subsidises meals at daycare centres and educational classes on healthy eating, conducted both at daycare centres and schools participating in the programme. Regular workshops for children also take place in the Foundation's Yellow Plate kitchen - the Domino Effect workshop in Warsaw. Under the programme, more than 10 million meals have been served in child-support centres, schools and daycare centres across the country.
