Cambodia – The Domino Effect

This time, Dominika Kulczyk and the TVN film crew are setting off to Cambodia to present the activity of an American non-governmental organization called Habitat for Humanity. The organization has been building houses for the poorest in the world for almost 40 years. Since 2009, when the authorities closed down a local landfill Steung Meanchey in the capital city Phnom Penh, hundreds of families have been left destitute. Many of them have resettled on the land of the former landfill, and their daily existence is marked by inhumane conditions and health hazards.

Madagascar – The Domino Effect

The next destination Dominika Kulczyk visited was Madagascar. For many, this island is the epitome of paradise, with the sun, beautiful beaches, and unique flora and fauna. However, there is another side of Madagascar: It is one of the poorest countries in the world, with insufficient road infrastructure, healthcare and access to education. Azafady is a non-governmental organization which has been active locally for 20 years and so the Kulczyk Foundation decided to support it financially.

Philippines – The Domino Effect

Dominika Kulczyk and the TVN film crew arrived in the Philippines just one month after the Haiyan typhoon, the most powerful typhoon in history to make landfall. The natural disaster claimed the lives of thousands, and it destroyed everything in its path, cutting many cities off from the world and leaving behind damage which the country has not yet been able to deal with. In order to rebuild people’s homes, the land first needs to be cleared of the rubble and put back in order.

The beginning of the Foundation’s operations

Kulczyk Foundation is a family initiative aimed at providing extensive support to aid projects which benefit the victims of natural disasters as well as the poorest regions in the world.
