I will accept Friends from Ukraine

We want to facilitate contact between people who seek refuge and those who can offer it. The group is already operational and has a chance to become a platform for the exchange of information about available houses, flats, accommodation places for people fleeing from Ukraine to Poland and about their current needs.

Our world ended on February 24, 2022. Peace and security in Europe have become meaningless words. Residents of Kiev, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Ivano-Frankivsk are paralyzed every day by fear of death. Missile strikes (shelling?) can be heard less than 100 kilometers from the Polish border. The war came unexpectedly and changed the lives of Ukrainians, our closest Neighbours, overnight.

A few years ago in Kiev, during a meeting with veterans, we talked about hope. About the fact that peace and security will come to Ukraine one day. It was believed by the widows of the soldiers who died and those who managed to survive this hell.

- These are people who saw too much, went through too much not to remember - said Dominika Kulczyk in this particularly moving episode of "The Domino Effect".

Ukraine strived for normality, but the war did not allowed Ukrainians forget about itself. Today, the world remembers once again about Ukrainian women and men, citizens of this proud country, who have come a long way in the fight for freedom, aspirations, values and ideals. About people being attacked again, this time on an unimaginable scale.

Every war brings pain and sacrifice. That is why we must open our hearts to Ukraine and the needs of its citizens. Let those who spend this night in basements and metro stations of Ukrainian cities know that they have neighbours who do not leave them in need.

The fate of women who, saving themselves and their children, decided to flee in search of a safe haven in Poland is especially dear to us. They travel, often on foot, long kilometers and freeze, waiting in line to freedom.

Let us do everything to make the words peace and security Powerful again.

Long live free, independent Ukraine.


*Since the beginning of the dramatic events in Ukraine in 2014, Kulczyk Foundation has been providing the necessary support for citizens of this country. We were with Polish rescue workers in Maidan, we organized transports of medical supplies for local hospitals, we provided medical assistance to children. Thanks to our media campaign, thousands of Poles donated money for food parcels distributed among children and elderly people from Ukraine. We supported the Caritas center in Rybaki, which was inhabited by Ukrainian families of Polish origin who suffered as a result of the humanitarian crisis. Today we are appealing again for support for our Neighbors.

Ми бажаємо посприяти контакту між тими, хто шукає прихистку й тими, хто може його запропонувати. Група вже активно діє й має шанс стати платформою для обміну інформацією про доступні помешкання, домівки й місця для ночівлі, якими можуть скористатися українські біженці у Польщі, а також про поточне запотребування на житло.

24 лютого 2022 року настав кінець нашого Світу. Мир та безпека в Європі стали пустими словами. Жителі Києва, Харкова, Маріуполя та Івано-Франківська щодня відчувають паралізуючий страх смерті. Вибухи ракет чутно вже майже 100 кілометрів від польського кордону. Війна прийшла несподівано й протягом однієї ночі змінила життя українців, наших найближчих Сусідів.

Кілька років тому, під час зустрічі з ветеранами ми розмовляли про надію. Про те, що колись в Україні настане мир та спокій. В це вірили солдатські вдови, чоловіки яких загинули, як і воїни, що вийшли цілими з цього пекла.

– Це люди, які бачили й пройшли занадто багато, щоб про все це забути – розповідала Домініка Кульчик у цьому неймовірно зворушливому випуску передачі «Ефект Доміно».

Україна бажала нормального життя, та війна не дала про себе забути. Сьогодні світ знов пригадав собі про українок та українців, громадян цієї гордої країни, які пройшли далекий шлях до свободи, борючись за свої мрії, вартощі та ідеали. Світ згадав про людей, які знов стали жертвами нападу, масштаб якого важко собі уявити.

Кожна війна несе із собою жертви та страждання. Саме тому ми повинні віддати наші серця Україні та потребам її жителів. Нехай ті, кому доведеться провести наступну ніч у підвалах і станціях метро українських міст, знають, що в них є сусіди, які не покинуть їх у важкий час.

Ми особливо турбуємося долею жінок, які вирішили втекти у пошуках безпечного притулку до Польщі, рятуючи себе й своїх дітей. Нерідко їм доводиться пішки долати довгі кілометри, та страждати від холоду у черзі до свободи.

Зробімо все, щоб повернути Сенс словам «мир» та «безпека».

Хай живе вільна, самостійна Україна.


*З 2014 року, коли в Україні почались драматичні події, Kulczyk Foundation надає жителям країни всю можливу підтримку. Ми були поряд із польськими рятівниками на Майдані, організували транспорт медикаментів у місцеві лікарні, допомагали лікувати дітей. Завдяки нашій кампанії в ЗМІ тисячі поляків не вагаючись жертвували гроші на продукти харчування для українських дітей і людей похилого віку. Ми підтримали центр фонду «Карітас» у селищі Рибаки, де замешкали українські сім’ї польського походження, що постраждали від гуманітарної кризи. Сьогодні ми знов закликаємо всіх допомогти нашим Сусідам.
