Two beloved schools of Dominika Kulczyk

Projects in Poland

- I’m late again – joked Dominika Kulczyk at the Hall of Karol Marcinkowski High School in Poznań, which she had graduated from. It was the first but not only school she visited that day, as later she was also present at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where she handed over scholarships named after her father.

- Being late at the high school turned out to be one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. Because that day I wasn’t the only one who was late. Marta was also late. Our Polish teacher didn’t allow us to enter the classroom. Since that day we’ve been inseparable – explained Dominika Kulczyk during the speech delivered at her high school “Marcinek”. Marta is now the Managing Director of the Kulczyk Foundation!

Dominika Kulczyk accepted the invitation of students attending her beloved high school “Marcinek”. In her talk, she emphasized the meaning of helping others from the perspective of someone who helps other people across the globe. – I’ve always been interested in the human being. Every time when we start an aid project, the most important thing for me is to listen to other people’s needs, to respect and understand them – said Dominika Kulczyk.

Later that day, at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, which she had also graduated from, Dominika Kulczyk handed over Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarships, which is the continuation of her father’s endeavor. – It’s amazing to have people who inspire us. I hope you’ll all have mentors in your life, who’ll share their knowledge and will be your inspiration. I believe and I ask you to perceive this scholarship, named after my father, as an inspiration, which will give you wings. So that you could reach the worlds you aim to reach – said Dominika Kulczyk when congratulating the winners of the scholarship.

Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarship has been granted to 8 Polish people: four PhD candidates and four students, as well as 50 students from Ukraine, who study at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
