Meet the Pro-Woman Companies of the Year 2024

Wydarzenia

The Równowaga is an initiative popularizing activities for equality and counteracting discrimination in the workplace. - Modern organizational culture assumes that a person has different needs depending on gender, age, or family situation and this does not make them a worse employee. On the contrary - the diversity of the team often translates into its strength, versatility, and efficiency. On the condition that the employer respects this diversity - emphasized the initiator of the competition, Dominika Kulczyk during the EFNI. Kulczyk Foundation runs the competition together with the Polish Confederation Lewiatan and the Congress of Women Association, in partnership with the Institute for Structural Research and the Share the Care Foundation.

The activities for gender equality in the workplace presented in the competition forms are analyzed by a group of experts, and the tools mapped in this process allow for the creation of recommendations regarding organizational solutions and activities aimed at ensuring true equality between women and men in the workplace. The dissemination of good practices is a very important component of this initiative. The applications assessed equality mechanisms, development and training, work-family balance, salary, and health.

The competition not only promotes commitment to achieving broadly understood gender equality in the workplace but can also be a source of inspiration. Companies and institutions can support each other and draw positive patterns from each other's initiatives. Last year's edition resulted in the manual On the Road to Balance. This is a step-by-step guide that shows how a company can implement further improvements to treat employees equally and ethically.
